Inside Your Training Journey

Emergency First Responder Structure

Emergency First Responder courses (EFR) meet the CPR and first aid training requirements for the PADI Rescue Diver course and all professional-level ratings. Notably, the EFR course draws from internationally recognized medical guidelines for emergency care.

For you to gain your certification you will need to spend 1 day at Legend Diving Lembongan. While you will learn Primary Care (CPR), you will also be taught Secondary Care (First Aid). In the first place with Primary Care (CPR), you go through the steps and techniques for handling life-threatening emergencies. In like manner, you’ll practice eight skills for aiding patients who present the following issues:

  • aren’t breathing
  • have any heartbeat
  • may have a spinal injury
  • might be in shock
  • may have serious bleeding

Furthermore, you’ll learn how to perform CPR and continue to monitor the patient. Henceforth, you can provide every possible chance of survival while waiting for emergency medical services to arrive.

In addition, the Secondary Care (First Aid) will teach you how to handle medical conditions that are not life-threatening while waiting for emergency medical services. In other words, this course teaches you how to provide first aid that eases pain and reduces the risk of further harm. You’ll learn to assess a variety of injuries and illnesses and practice bandaging and splinting – Contact our team for additional info..

My son and I took the EFR course at Legend as a prerequisite for the Rescue Diver course. Our two instructors, Ricardo and Jesse did a wonderful job. The materials and presentation were professional and enforced with scenario based training. We will consider doing the actual dive portion with Legend in the future. Thanks Legend! Dave and CJ

Great people with a ton of experience. Equipment is good, service is great! Thanks Dobrito and Camilla for the great dives, always great to meet new people like you!

Evan was an excellent instructor, super patient, supportive, and informative. Made transitioning from closed water to open water very comfortable. I felt very safe, and came away from the course feeling confident. Everything was provided from equipment, food and water to tea.
