This section is all about life-saving techniques. You’ll be trained to administer emergency oxygen efficiently and operate essential safety equipment. The final test will see you rescuing an unresponsive diver, bringing them safely to the surface, and performing rescue breaths on land. Some divers may feel apprehensive about taking the Rescue Course. It is definitely a significant leap from your Advanced, but totally doable. At the end of the day, it’s totally up to you. Your instructors will not push you to do anything you’re not comfortable with. Some may recommend at least 30 dives
while others may say 50. Just make sure you go at your own pace! Being comfortable with your own diving abilities is the most important thing. As a Rescue Diver, you may be responsible for someone else. This means you definitely should not be stressed out in normal diving situations. Next, you should have good buoyancy.
