Padi Open Water Lembongan Course Structure
Padi Open Water Diver course Nusa Lembongan in three main phases:
Online Self-Study: Learn the fundamentals of scuba diving at your own pace
Confined Water Dives: Practice core skills in a controlled pool environment
Open Water Dives: Put your skills to the test and explore the underwater world
We are proud to be an eco-friendly dive center. Meaning our company has gone completely paperless. Once your booking is confirmed, you will be given the online digital materials. You will need to create a PADI account and sign the necessary documentation, from your mobile phone or laptop.

Welcome to Legend Diving. Your PADI dive instructor will meet you in the morning in our lounge area to start reviewing with you the web forms and check how far you have gone in your self-study. With this in mind, you will go through your work and make sure that your global understanding is correct by giving you a quick review quiz.
After we will start with more practical aspects of the course. Firstly, you are going to be briefed on the equipment and learn how to set it up yourself. Additionally, youâll participate in Confined Water sessions in the pool. This is where you will learn to breathe underwater and demonstrate some skills. Furthermore, you will get comfortable with the gear. Some of the skills you will learn are:

⢠Getting rid of water in your mask
⢠Entry and exit techniques
⢠Buoyancy control
⢠Basic navigation underwater
⢠Safety procedures
⢠The pool section will take approximately half a day. The rest of the day will be spent continuing with completing your self-study, if any is left.
Today is a big day! You will do your first 2 ocean dives. Firstly, youâll meet your instructor in the morning for a briefing. You will go over what should be expected to help you solidify your learning so far. In addition, these dives will go no further than 12 meters. They will be done in dive sites suitable for training. Afterward, we will return to the dive center and finish the remaining theory or confined session.
This is the last day of your course. You will do 2 more dives to a max depth of 18 meters. The dive sites chosen will always keep your training in mind. You will likely get the chance to see some majestic Manta ray! Although they are training dives, you are sure to see lots of marine life and all before lunchtime! Straight away, you can continue your education with a 10% discount off on any additional courses.

Diving is possible anywhere thereâs water. This includes the pool, quarries, lakes, and the ocean. Where you can SCUBA dive is also determined by your experience, certifications, access, and interests
While snorkeling or diving to the bottom of a pool, you might feel discomfort in your ears. This is completely normal. It is caused by water pressure pressing in on your eardrums. However, you can easily deal with this with some quick training. If you donât have issue when you fly, then you will be fine when diving.
History of ear troubles, diabetes, asthma, allergies or smoking wonât necessarily disqualify you from diving. You can consult with your doctor on any prior issues. Furthermore, they can work with the Divers Alert Network for further information.

The most common issues are seasickness, dehydration, and sunburn. These are all very easily preventable. Furthermore, scrapes and stings may occur. However, your wetsuit can help prevent this. SCUBA diving is generally a very safe adventure sport.
You will be lucky to see a shark! Incidents with sharks are incredibly rare. Sharks are generally not aggressive and do not see you as food.
Diving is not advised if you are pregnant. Menstruation is not normally a concern.
The limit for recreational SCUBA diving is 40 meters/130 feet. As an Open Water Diver, you will be certified to go till 18 meters/60 feet.
There is an indicator that shows you how much air you will have. Furthermore, youâll be taught to check it regularly. We always leave the dive with plenty of air still left in the tank. In addition, in the unlikely event of you running out of air â you can share air with your buddy. We are all equipped with an extra second stage.
Your instructor will give you plenty of time to get comfortable. Extensive sessions in the pool will be done at your own pace. This will prepare you for your ocean dives.
You can use certifications from other organizations as a prerequisite for the next level of PADI course. For example, an Open Water Diver certification from one organization can be used towards the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification.

Padi Open Water Lembongan Equipment
The gear is part of the fun of SCUBA diving. Here at Legend Diving, you will be able to rent all the scuba gear you need during your course. However, it is recommended that you eventually own your own. The essential remains over 3 items: Mask, snorkel, and fins.
Compact and light, you should be able enough for travel with this minimum equipment towards all destinations. We can assist in selecting the diving equipment that you need. With this intention, You will gain the skills to gears:

Padi Open Water Upgrade & Referral
Padi Open Water Referral
An Open Water Referral lets you finish most of your training at home. Then, you can complete the Open Water dives with us in Nusa Lembongan. This will save you time during your vacation.
During the referral, you will finish the knowledge development and confined water sections at home prior to your arrival. This will allow you to become Open Water certified in just one and a half in Nusa Lembongan. You can then spend your time for some fun dives or taking additional courses!
Padi Scuba Diver Upgrade
As a PADI Scuba Diver, you can advance to Open Water Diver by completing these tasks in just 1.5 days.
At your arrival you should have completed the assigned online self-study. However, should you have any questions do not hesitate to ask your instructor when they sit down with you to review the work done and the online forms. A quick knowledge assessment will be done to make sure you have fully understood the online self-study
Next, youâll spend the rest of the day doing confined pool sessions with your instructor. This is time to demonstrate the additional skills needed to become an Open Water Diver.
You will go out for your two open water dives today. They will be done to a max depth of 18 meters and there will be a few skills to complete during your dive. Nevertheless, you will spend most of it enjoying the marine life. You will likely be able to see Manta ray at Manta Point or incredible coral reef in the north of Nusa Penida. After surfacing, we will congratulate you on becoming an Open Water Diver! Having achieved becoming an Open Water Diver, you are now able to fun dive to depths of 18 meters. Take advantage of your new skills and receive 10% off on any additional fun dives you wish to do.
Referral Course FAQ
It can be used for a full year, but it is best to complete your training right after so your abilities remain sharp.
You can get your local PADI instructor to fill out a form on what skills you have done. That form can be used worldwide to pick up where you left off.

With a PADI referral course, you can take as much time as you need to complete your knowledge development and pool work. You wonât feel rushed or like youâre âcrammingâ for a test. Youâll also support the nice people at your local dive shop and become part of your local diving community.
You may allow too much time between finishing the course. Having your skills fresh is pretty important. Furthermore, you may be unfamiliar with the gear at different shops.
Contact us before arriving and using the referral. It is best to get a medical clearance as well.
