The PADI Divemaster manual has nine chapters that you will review with our PADI Instructors during classroom sessions. You’ll be subject to a number of multimedia presentations and exercises.

Much of this will be done in our pool. You’ll master the 24 PADI skills, as well as complete your swim tests. Portions of this may be done in open water, such as the rescue scenario. Make sure you brush up on your Rescue course!

This includes managing dive activities, conducting Divemaster-authorized PADI programs, and assisting PADI Instructors in courses. Throughout all this, you are expected to demonstrate a professional attitude in your day to day activities.

We  expect you to take an active role in organizing dive trips, giving dive briefings, supervising certified divers underwater, and pointing out marine life to your guests. As your training wraps up, we’ll assess your professionalism.

7:30-Arrive the dive center an hour before guests. Here you will work with the Legend staff on checking the equipment, loading and setting up the boats. You may also receive a pre-briefing from your mentors during this time on what you will do for the rest of the day.

8:30- Guests are set to arrive. Welcome them to Legend Diving and help them try on equipment if they haven’t already. You may also give the dive briefing depending how far along you are in your course.

9:00- All aboard one of our two fast boats! Off we go to Manta Point for the day. The journey will take 45 minutes (it’s our farthest dive site, the north of Penida usually takes just 15 minutes). Use this time to connect with the guests- we have interesting people that come from all over the world!

9:45- Arrive at Manta Point. Get your gear on and let’s go! Dive with the majestic Manta rays and marvel at their beauty.

10:45- Finish diving! After that, you’ll enjoy a one-hour surface break before the next dive. Enjoy some fruit, coffee, tea, and talk about that amazing first dive.

12:00- Let’s get in the water again! It’s a 20-minute ride to Crystal Bay. This is the site with some of the most consistent Mola sightings.

12:45- Finish diving. Wow, that Mola was huge! Time to return to the shop. This will take around 30 minutes.

Welcome Back to Nusa Lembongan!

1:15- You will now help the Legend staff unload the boat and wash equipment. Once you’re back at the shop you’ll also sit with the guests to fill in their logbooks. Time to show off your Fish ID skills here!

2:00- Usually now you’ll take a break and see if you have any activities left in the day. You may have some pool or classroom sessions scheduled, or perhaps compressor duties. If you’ve wrapped up for the day, feel free to run off and and explore Lembongan! Go grab a beer and some delicious local food with your fellow Divemaster candidates.

The best way to prepare is to review your Open Water, Advanced, and Rescue textbook. Plus, you’ll have access to online self-study materials, making it easy to revisit topics anytime during your course.

We understand that certain circumstances may prevent you from finishing your course. We will provide a refund for the portion of the course that is unused.

This is a hard no. Legend Diving believes that your foremost priority should be your education. An instructor will be with you every step on your progress and nurture you into the best Divemaster you can be. Whether you are guiding dives, helping out students in the pool, or just unloading the boat, an instructor will be there guiding you. The legal responsibility will always rest on the instructor as well

We run Divemaster courses all year round. To confirm your booking, we require a non-refundable deposit of 40% of your course. You can pay through credit card online with a 3% fee. With the remaining payment, you can pay in cash or credit card with a 3% fee

We do not have any fixed days offset for your course. However, we aim to provide 1 per week. If you have any special requests, we are flexible in accomodating them. Just let us know in advance!

There is lunch provided every day on the boat. We serve a traditional Indonesian lunch – the nasi goreng is usually a big hit. We are also able to accommodate for any vegetarians upon request.

You can start working as a Divemaster when PADI processes your certification. This usually just takes a few days. Afterward, you will be free to live the dream life of a dive professional.
