Why Enroll in the Drift Diver Course?

If you’ve researched the diving in our waters, you’ll know that it’s a drift diving paradise. This makes it the perfect place to take your Drift Diver Nusa Lembongan Course! For those who don’t know, drift diving is when you move along with ocean current. It is super exciting. In addition, it reduces the effort needed by finning. Just imagine gliding along on a lazy ride through the ocean. Moreover, you’ll have beautiful fish and corals to see all around you. Doesn’t that sound amazing?

Firstly, drift diving is an incredible experience that should be had for all divers. It is a completely different sensation than normal diving. Get ready for an underwater rollercoaster ride! Moreover, many compare it to the feeling of flying. We will not blame you if you position yourself like Superman! Secondly, the Nusa Penida Marine Protected Area is world-renowned for its drift diving. Besides the amazing colorful color, you will get to see all sorts of marine life. Larger pelagic fish like Giant trevally and barracudas are commonly seen. Furthermore, smaller macro life such as Scorpions fish and Frogfish can also be spotted! Drift diving often brings a great variety of marine life. This is because currents carry a lot of nutrients to this area.

What’s Your Training Looks Like

Drift Diver Lembongan Course Structure

This day will begin with a short classroom revision session with your instructor. They will access your self-study knowledge and online forms. Following, we will be off to do 2 drift dives! It is time to apply everything you’ve learned.

Your instructor will give you a briefing on skills you will have to do during the dive. Last but not least, don’t forget to enjoy yourself! Besides not having to exert as much energy, you will find that drift diving has many more benefits. You’ll be able to cover a much larger area, meaning you’ll see a lot more marine life! For example, we can look at one of our most popular dive sites – Blue Corner. This dive site has a very strong current, but it also has the highest chance of encountering Molas. At peak, we have seen more than 17 Molas in one dive! Additionally, you’ll encounter many pelagics such as Giant trevallies and Dogtooth tuna here.

Nevertheless, drift diving does come with some downsides. It can be daunting if you don’t know how to handle yourself. First of all, don’t forget to check the conditions before you jump in. If it doesn’t look safe, don’t risk it. Secondly, always go with someone who knows the area well. They may spot things you will miss because of their experience. Thirdly, there may be up and down currents. Your instructor will teach you how to handle yourself.
